hello, mm so today i just wanna talk about cancelling

[ this is a thread so be patient with me ]

by the way:
these are my opinions
might be worded badly, sorry
maybe consider changing the way we ‘cancel‘ people
please dont cancel me-

so first of all the way anitwt cancels is we just lash out, most of the time no one really educates anyone?
we spam fancams and dont really do much other than lash out

so EXAMPLE
someome tweets a possibly ableist tweet, maybe first give them a dm, tell them where they went wrong instead or just screaming at them

do be patient as they might be defensive after receiving so much hate

educate them more about it before just straight out cancelling.

if they dont listen after a few dms, call them out, remember to use appropriate trigger and content warnings, but dont call them out for the fun of it, please just warn people what kind of person they may be +

then just be patient and try not to make them too disturbed, please do be patient as now there are many younger people on twitter, so be patient with them as they might not know what they did wrong

please don’t influence others to spam fancams, it only makes the situation worse. i just hope we can educate more than cancel people.

ALSO PLEASE DO NOT EXPOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE PERSON YOU ARE CALLING OUT. AGE AND OR REAL NAME IS A BIG NO.

i just hope we can make anitwt slightly less toxic, and when talking about sensitive topics please do research, use the right trigger warnings and if unsure ask someone slightly more experienced

and when dm-ing them please NEVER send death threats
