The iPhone 12 lineup is great, except the 12 Pro, which seems soo out of place.
12 Mini - for people who prefer a small form factor
12 - for 80% of users. OLED screen is an exciting addition
12 Pro Max - for hardcore Apple enthusiasts looking for the maxed out iPhone.
12 Pro would have been ideal for people who want the maxed out iPhone but in a small form factor. This year, 12 Pro Max has better cameras than the 12 Pro, so no deal.

12 and 12 Pro both have OLED screens. The price differential for the third camera isn’t directly proportional.
Differences between 12 & 12 Pro to the average user

* telephoto lens - who cares?
* stainless steel frame vs aluminium - you’re gonna use a phone case
* LiDAR, Dolby Vision HDR 60fps, Apple ProRAW, Nightmode Portraits - are you really gonna pay an extra $300 for these features?
Differences between 12 Pro & 12 Pro Max to the power user:

* 1170 x 2532p vs 1284 x 2778p
* 12MP f/2.0 vs 12MP f/2.2
* 52mm telephoto vs 65mm
* 17-hrs battery vs 20-hrs
* 2X optical zoom vs 2.5X
* sensor-shift OIS on Pro Max

Are you not going to pay $100 more to max out?
