Seems like the West Side Ave HBLR parking lot is slated for redevelopment. Lots of housing, retail, and office space proposed. This project is the first time seeing in action NJT& #39;s goal in their new strategic plan to develop agency-owned property as TOD to both give them short-term revenue and to create ridership-supportive land use.
Keep an eye out for similar proposals to pop up in the following stations with large NJT-owned surface lots:
