The overdue lawsuit against Google should make all political figures affiliated with Google toxic to a potential Biden Administration.

Google is a key factor in all of our biggest challenges:

a) YouTube propelled misinformation is the biggest threat to COVID-19 response, from anti-maskers to anti-vaxxers;
b) YouTube nurtures white supremacy;
c) YouTube fosters climate denialism; (2/x)

d) Google has crushed the business model of journalism, hastening the creation of "news deserts" and an uninformed electorate;
e) Google is undermining efforts to build a more resilient and egalitarian economy. (3/x)

In general, from US trade policy to taxes (Google hasn't paid much!)... you likely underestimate how much of the federal government matters to Google.

Policy on Big Tech was already going to be a huge deal for a Biden Administration.

Now they will be inheriting a massive and overdue antitrust lawsuit.

Google ties should be deemed an immediately disqualifying conflict of interest. (5/x)
