The discourse on voting reminds me of a fascinating board game about, uh, sheep farming during flood season, called Lowlands.

And as a Gamer, I'm entitled to talk about its political relevance. Enclosed is my spot on the political spectrum for reference:
Basically players have to breed and sell their sheep to win, but also co-operatively build a giant dike that prevents a flood washing them all away. So on your turn you can do sheep stuff or you can do dike stuff.
But sheep are worth more points than helping on the dike.
If the dike breaks, whoever did the most work on the dike loses less sheep, and therefore wins. If the dike holds, whoever spent the most time on their sheep wins because they'll have the most sheep, and sheep are worth more.
So if the dike fails, everyone wants to be the guy who worked the most on it before it failed. If it works, everyone wants to have spent the most time doing something else.
This is also an accurate summation of the last three god damn months of bullshit
If Biden wins, everyone who supported voting for Biden, the obvious favourite, is an asshole who came out swinging for a guy who basically sucks. If he loses, and the much, MUCH worse fucker wins, everyone who took a stand against voting for him is an absolute fucking idiot.
So while I was off making videos the twitter left have divided into two camps:
- Assuming Biden will win, and getting started early on criticising his presidency and poor history on many issues,
- Assuming Biden could lose, and wanting to look like they did their best to avoid it
As a Gamer, I'm legally not allowed to tell you who to vote for, or they'll have my badge. I think it's good to criticise bad Politicians and push for better ones, and it's also obviously better for the world if one person wins, even if they're far from ideal.
I just wanted to acknowledge how funny it is that everyone wants Biden to win but really isn't happy about having to actually vote for him.
anyway this trolley problem-ass bullshit doesn't even annoy me anymore becuase it reminds me of that sheep farming game
