Introducing http://MediaManipulation.Org , a new resource for those working in the field of Critical Internet Studies. We have created a custom theory/methods package for detecting, documenting, and debunking media manipulation and disinformation campaigns.
Created by the Technology and Social Change Research Project, this resource is published with 14 original case studies covering commonly used media manipulation tactics including keyword squatting, misinfographics, forgery, trolling, and many more. http://Mediamanipulation.org
We listened closely to journalists, technologists, policymakers and other researchers who wanted a common vocabulary to describe different styles of media manipulation and disinformation campaigns. Check out the definitions page for more: https://mediamanipulation.org/definitions
The team we have put together @ShorensteinCtr has been able to stay the course throughout the pandemic. I am so humbled to be supported by my colleagues, Brian Friedberg, @gabriellelim, @EmilyDreyfuss, @nico_leaves, @DwightKnell, @awendell98, @jennifer_nilsen, and Rob Faris.

We built this research platform for collaboration on case studies, where this growing field can have a place to publish responsive & rigorous research. Explore the life cycle model: https://mediamanipulation.org/methods
I also want to highlight some of the custom case studies developed by contributing authors!
