So here's the thing about those light, fluffy books that some people like to look down upon.

I'm writing a dragon rescue scene right now. With comedic elements. Will this book win me any awards? Nah. Will it earn me some huge publishing contract? Narp.

But...

This book is saving my life right now. It is sweet and funny and helps to clear my head for a bit every single day.

To those who think only 'heavy' books have merit, literary tomes, grimdark chonkers, be aware that we're not made to drown in gloom all the time.

Humans need light. We need relief. So to everyone reading (and writing!) happy endings and comedies and romance novels and fantasies where the good guys ALWAYS win, you keep doing you. You are taking good care of yourself (and us!), just as you should be.
