Everything is finally setup to start the first episode of #镇魂Guardian! I don’t know much of what to expect but from the looks of it it’s going to be awesome
The animation for the opening narration/exposition just looks so cool (the style almost reminds me of some of the official art for Guild Wars 2) and pausing it to read all the cool translation tidbits is really making me want to learn Mandarin again to properly appreciate them
Is he wearing belts around his arms to keep his sleeves from unrolling/falling down? Truly an iconic fashion statement
Looking closer they don’t seem to be keeping up his sleeves so I’m just going to presume he wears extra sleeve belts for the fun of it which honestly? Valid

Zhao Yunlan gave him the name Wei? And then Shen Wei kept it? This is so incredibly gay I love it
I’ve thought about it more and decided that keeping the name Zhao Yunlan gave him is both gay rights and trans rights which is even more beautiful
