Why Chelsea are good offensively and bad defensively?
Lampard playing a very good attacking ball and no body have doubt about that but the only problem we are facing right now is the defense. Our question is that what is wrong in our defense?

This is the Chelsea line up we use the 4231 formation
Our lineup is supposed to be like this when we are inside the game. Jorginho must drop in between defenders and cover the spaces that is left by the full backs and kante make runs and the full backs overlap but in fact nothing of that happens at all.
This what happens when our fullbacks push high.Our 2 cms always push forward.they are supposed to stay back and cover the space when the fullbacks push high.
And because of the 2 cms pushing forward our defense are always exposed to opponent attackers and it’s easy to concede goals.

Solution for this problem. 1) Lampard has to build a defensive structure and build a tactics to stop conceding much goals. Lampard plays a very good attacking football but as we know attack wins games and defense wins title.
2) we need a dm who always drop between defenders

Don’t get me wrong Jorginho is a great player and has great passes but he doesn’t suit our style of play
He is not effective at all defensively.
Players like rice and Thomas partey playing among kante can help us a lot defensively. Hope this thread helps u understand. #Chelsea
