how i fast for long periods ; a thread
disclaimer: as the og tweet says this is how i personally fast for long periods these work for me okay lets go
before i start fasting:

- plan what im gonna eat when i break my fast : plan low cal meals and it motivates me since ill also let myself have a little treat (food/non-food related things)
- set myself a realistic goals: setting myself 2/3 days instead of a whole week because its much more achievable and if i want to go on for longer after 2 days then i do, and also since 2 days is shorter than 7+ it motivates me more -
- "just 2 days" and once thats over "just one more day" and you can keep going like that.

during the fast:
- plan your days out: ill make myself a little timetable/schedule for the day/week, making sure i pretty much leave no space to make food for myself. i have a lot of hw/assignments to do plus i want to do some extra work so

- movies/games/reading/drawing/writting or any other hobby : if im not studying ill probably be playing a video game or watching youtube, its a great distraction especially if you& #39;re addicted to said game . . .
fighting the urge to eat:
- drink a SHIT ton of water, just pour that bitch down your throat, borderline drown yourself
- i like to watch those buzfeed tasty videos or any other cooking videos/mukbangs since they either make me feel mentally full +
+ or disgusting since some of the recipies/way people eat make me want to d!3
- CHEWING GUM !! : literally no cons to chewing gum, since im chewing i feel like im eating in a way and also chewing helps u lose fat in the face (i think?) idk my face is (getting) slim and probably the skinniest part of me
and i think its cuz i chew a lot of gum https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😟" title="Besorgtes Gesicht" aria-label="Emoji: Besorgtes Gesicht"> and since i have gum and dont want to spit it out i wont eat anything even if im being offered food or have food near me. also brushing ur teeth can be an alternate to this
ive just realised this thread is v boring and most of my ways are idk ok ?

- if you feel like you cant fight the urge to eat then id suggest eating a low cal fruit like an apple + drink a shit ton of water with it too to fill you up - if you are going to eat, its better for you to eat something with less than 60 cals than to go out on a full binge
and its easier to burn 60 cals so if you& #39;re really struggling, do this but and carry on w your fast - otherwise, DRINK THAT WATER !!! && GUM !!

- weighing myself every morning : ok i love seeing that number drop and it happens so quick too like id be .5kg lighter the next morning and its such a good feeling to see that so that keeps me motivated
hiding it from your parents/others:
- i dont worry about this a lot my parents dont care enough about me and also they& #39;re pretty much barely ever home and they think im on a diet or something so they let me make my own meals ect
and so they dont force me to eat with them but you can use hw/school as an excuse or go out (school/with friends/or just on a walk) and say you ate there
ok to summarise drink loads and loads of water and distract yourself a lot, i mostly just test my self control tbh thats it idk if this is helpful but yea thanks for reading !!
