Hey @ninaabdelmalak, it seems to me that you have some major misconceptions about feminism given your disgusted reaction. Here& #39;s a general understanding of what feminism is, and then you can be as disgusted as you want. https://twitter.com/yaradebs9/status/1318312732043714563">https://twitter.com/yaradebs9...
Broadly, a feminist is someone who advocates women& #39;s rights and believes men and women should be given equal rights and chances.

What does this mean? It means you& #39;re offered equal chances as the host in this episode. It means no man would get paid better because you& #39;re chosen -
By merits, not sex. It means that if you were harassed, there would be clear laws to protect you and find you justice. It means that if you& #39;re a victim of abuse, the system protects you and doesnt force you to hide. It means that your physical appearance doesn& #39;t play a role in -
Your chances of getting hired; your brains do. It means you won& #39;t only be expected to breed kids and cook; you can be anything you want to be, just like a man is given that freedom. It means you are acknowledged for your education and capabilities and celebrated for them.
It means that men and women are not biologically the same, but would be treated as such socially. It means that women will not longer be categorized as the weaker sex and will be recognized in all spheres they choose to exist in. It means that women who do not want to assume -
Typical gender roles are given that freedom, and not shamed. It means that women will be as free as men in though, action and reaction. It means that growing up, women are not convinced to adhere to typical "female" roles and are allowed the freedom to choose who and what they -
They want to be. It means that women who abort or miscarry are no longer marginalized and are offered healing. It means that we are no longer called "crazy" when PMS-ing, and PMS and pregnancy will not longer be used as excuses by society to justify our behavior.
It means that a man& #39;s role at home is equal to yours, in cooking, cleaning, raising kids and financing; he& #39;s not your nemesis. It means that we will be able to access feminine products as easily as men access condoms. It means that we can walk into a pharmacy and ask for
The morning after pill without being given looks of disdain, when men so freely enjoy their sexuality. It means we fight the patriarchal system that has made us believe we are "lesser".

Do you not want that? To know that you have the same chances as the man next to you?
To know that you will be cast for something based on your capabilities and not your looks? To know that you& #39;ll be paid what you deserve and not less? To know that your life will not always be a struggle because you& #39;re a woman in a patriarchal society?
To know that should you choose to not look and dress as what society has decided are "norms" for women, you will still be accepted?

It means so many beautiful things that women have been fighting for, for decades and are currently still fighting for.
The majority of businesses are male-oriented. We& #39;re breaking the cycle, we& #39;re accessing equal education and climbing the ladder. Sometimes, feminism is misrepresented or exaggerated, but at its core feminism is a political and social struggle, a rightful one.
You& #39;re free to keep your leg hair in summer and winter, to wear sweatpants to a date, to get some rest while your partner cleans up, to get paid just as much as your male peer does, to "hang out" with the guys without anyone seeing it as an act of flirtation, etc.
Aren& #39;t you disgusted by how men are given privileges and advantages we aren& #39;t? How when we do the same actions, we& #39;re given looks of disdain and shame? Aren& #39;t you sick of hearing comments about marriage and children? Aren& #39;t you tired of being catcalled and expected to remain -
Silent about it? Aren& #39;t you tired of being looked at as weak, just because you bleed once a month?

Now tell me, are you still as disgusted by feminism as you were in that clip?
