one of the "largest-ever" warship to be made in India, the INS Chennai is the last of the ships in the Project 15A of the Indian Navy. Commissioned on 21 November 2016. The INS Chennai is placed under the operational and administrative control of the Western Naval Command.2/8

1) Vertical launch and long-range surface-to-air and surface to surface missile systems like supersonic BrahMos, âBarak-8â Long Range Surface to Air missiles.
