I'm so tired of having this universe stuck inside my head, here it is, hate me for it if you want:
It's a self-insert AU of ToG where my OCs are part of the story
Actually, I've made several AUs like this, but this is the one I've developed the most
My persona's in it +

Basically, my persona [Aiko Mayumi] is part of a family of wave controllers (over 1000+ people)
They all have wings made of shinsu, and are really good at controlling it
Not many of them become Rankers though, and that's because the family didn't really let their members leave +

But someone caught wind that the family was descended/created by Enryu and practiced the same type of Shinsu as he did (they didn't, but were instead tasked with keeping 2 thorns hidden from the rest of the tower, by Enryu)
Jahad sent assassins to kill the family +

Aiko is forced to fake her death and run away (she's 10)
She was also one of Khun's friends at the time - which is why she calls him 'Aguero' as opposed to 'Khun'; he went by Aguero at the time
She became a Regular in the tower +

Her family tasked her with protecting a necklace - which held a 'living thorn' in
That living thorn is a person, who'd be named 'Sora' later
Anyways, she goes up the tower in about 6 years
How? Her family made a deal with the administrators +

Members of their family + people in their teams would be able to take 'cumulative' floor tests, where they faced 10 tests at the same time (ex: Tests for floors 1-10 were all taken at one time)
So they got a 'Ranker fast pass' +

Aiko becomes a Ranker, along with a lot of her teammates (who are my other OCs)
She joins FUG/opposes Jahad, because he killed her family
Then her and some of her teammated are assigned to 'watch the Irregular' - which is Baam +

What she doesn't realize is that Khun's there, and he thought she'd died when they were 10 and 11 (Khun is a year older)
On the first floor, Aiko also has to 'release the thorn from his prison' - aka, take Sora out of the necklace +

Aiko also interferes with some tests -
She takes Hoh under her wing (literally, she has wings and can fly) and trains him to be a wave controller
In this AU, Hoh's death in s1 was faked
Hoh signed a contract with Aiko to help Sora climb up the tower and get stronger +

No one knows Sora's a living thorn at this point
*Sidenote: Since Sora and eventually Aiko are living thorns, they're both Baam's 'servants', and are eventually going to be 'bound' to him as such +

So, on the first floor, Aiko gets really close to Baam and Khun
After Baam's death, she knows that he's with FUG, but can't say anything
She leaves FUG and makes her own mini-organization with her teammates during the 6 year timeskip because of Baam +

She doesn't agree with FUG's methods
Her main team begins research on Shinsu (Eisen Mitsuji , light bearer, is the main researcher)
Not gonna mention my other OCs yet, they're not really important +

She joins up with Khun's group again once they find Baam and has to watch from afar while they're in the Hell Train (but joins in with the battle at the end)
She also manages to save Inieta
Buys him from the Kaiser and rescues him before Ran can kill him +

Also part of the reason why she wasn't on the Hell Train (besides being one of the weakest Rankers in the Tower)
She also gets into a fight with a teammate that had betrayed her in the past (in the battle after the train gets to the station) +

She gets injured from the fight, that teammate was someone close to her
She couldn't bear to hurt him, even if she hated him with her entire being
Her wings are pulled out during the fight and she's left in a coma for a while +

When she wakes up, she finds out that Khun is gone (which fucks her up a lot, Khun was a close friend of her and Baam)
Her body also tried to compensate for the lack of wings/shinsu in her body by absorbing the shinsu around her +

Which is pretty bad, because it basically slowly sucks life out of things around her
At this point, her and Sora (who's on a much higher floor by now) both have known they're living thorns for a long time (ever since Baam got the second thorn, Gustang told Aiko what she was) +

(Aiko was able to access the Floor of Death with the help of a guide, who heled her meet up with the rest of the team for a bit)
So Aiko's lost all of her shinsu abilities because her wings were torn off (which is why her body was trying to absorb shinsu) +

(It basically was trying to form new wings with it)
In the Mayumi family, your wings would normally regrow, unless in rare cases like Aiko's, they'd take shinsu out of the environment instead (caused by her being the person who carried the necklace with Sora in it) +

So Aiko's finally able to control her new shinsu abilities once Khun is awake, and her wings are back
This time, instead of white, they're sprinkled with bright red feathers, and her shinsu is red electricity
Sora's shinsu is red as well, but looks more like fire +

And so, at the current battle in the ToG storyline, Aiko has to use her new abilites, which are able to 'shock' and kill an enemy (although they're still too hard for her to control)
Sora's there too, and he's really good with his shinsu- it resembles Enryu's +

Other notes:
-Inieta was saved because Aiko wanted him for Sora's team with Hoh
[Not sure if I'm putting this in the official storyline but, she got attached to him and promised she'd bring him up the tower - maybe they're in a relationship?] +

Khun and Aiko didn't have much of a good relationship, he hated her for lying to him about Baam
Baam never knew Aiko was in FUG, or how much she watched him in the background
Baam forgave her, but Khun couldn't exactly bring himself to do that
Still cares about her though +
