The fact that some people take quotes that I have worked hard for as their own pisses me off every time.
I don't mind quotes being used, that is fine, but credit the source please.
I don’t mind that another writer uses one of my quotes as an idea for an article, or a base of one. It’s flattering, it means I have done a good job. Ask how I got the article if you are unsure (hint, I credit the source even if it is behind a paywall).
If it’s no source, it’s my quote.
I am great full for all the help I received when I got into the writing business. The experience I got to learn from, especially from @rylanderjohan, and I still learn from. If I can help a new writer out I am happy to help.
However, stealing a quote in English pretending/ assuming you found it in an small local paywalled paper rather than credit one of the bigger sites you read is bad form.
Even if you take it as a translation, you credit the translator.
Saying you spoke about it in one of your articles when I am tagged in the conversation is just stupid.
