An Abelena thread: How Abel’s Blinding Lights/Blinding Lights Remix music videos are connected to Selena’s It Ain’t Me/Wolves music videos

First off, let’s address the possible plot that connects all the videos. It seems as though the overall story is about being lost in the dark (Abel) and a female being the guiding light (Selena). This thread will explain further.

In Selena’s It Ain’t Me MV, a male and female crash in a motorcycle accident and the male is left in a coma.

In comparison, Abel is seen faded outside of casinos to then driving recklessly until he finds himself at a place where he gets beat up by men. Notice the tunnel in both?

With the It Ain’t Me MV, the male in the coma is found in his own little world in his head with his girl at his bedside waiting for him to wake up. She happens to also show up in his head trying to guide him to come back and wake up.

If you look at the scenes of this coma world in It Ain’t Me, you see his girl looks strikingly similar to Selena in her Wolves music video

What’s also interesting is that Selena in her Wolves MV also looks strikingly similar to a female singer that is seen in Abel’s Blinding Lights MV

In both scenerios for It Ain’t Me and Blinding Lights, the female is a guiding light. The male in his coma is finding his way back to the real world using his girl while Abel looks for his light from the female singer in his Remix MV after he gets beat up.

To add to the comparison, you can even see the male in a coma in It Ain’t Me and Abel in Blinding Lights looking similar in this part where they’re both dancing by the tunnel on their way back to their light

And going back to Selena’s Wolves MV, if this ties to the girl in her It Ain’t Me MV, then the Wolves MV represents the world she’s in while waiting for the guy to wake up. This explains her Wolves lyrics as she describes what she’s going through to get to him.

And since Selena’s Wolves character also fits the profile of the female singer in Abel’s Blinding Lights MV, then this explains his lyrics for that video as well to explain how she’s his light.

So overall, Abel represents the guy in the coma being in the dark and Selena is his guiding light.

Not to mention Abel also mentions someone being his light in the dark on his track Too Late. His music video for it is coming out soon
