i rlly love crazy rich asians because it has representation for EVERYONE. i always felt like i wasnt asian enough, so seeing that in media, through rachel, felt so validating. it made me feel like my experience wasnt just personal. asians in media are always perceived as+++

very culture based, so i always felt too westernized to be asian, even tho my mom was an immigrant as a child. i also felt not white enough, to the point it felt like i had to act one way or the other to fit in anywhere. but watching this movie makes me realize im ++

not the only one experiencing this divide between cultures, and it feels so nice seeing that reflected in such a successful movie :)
