here holds a list of reasons why eremin is a valid ship that i hold very dear and also like to think could be canon for comfort reasons
hate and discrimination wont be tolerated btw

1.) since eren and armin first met they were there for each other. there was mulitple scenes showing that eren would always stick up for armin when he was in rough patches. armin could stand up for himself but he couldn't physically defend himself, leading eren and mikasa +

to get into a lot of physical fights with brats in the city. there was scenes such as when we first seen armin pressed against a wall in a alley and all armin could really do was aggravate them by speaking his truth. when eren seen he was immediately running over +

to defend him, even tho the bullies only ran away because they had seen mikasa KAFDJAKFJAFAFA--
there was also another important instance where a couple of kids took armin's food basket for his family and when eren found out he was quite pissed off. there was a huge +

fight in the middle of the city and as seen, eren was definitely throwing those kids around and wasnt going to stop until they paid for what they had done. even after separating him from the boys when someone had come to stop the fight, he ran right after them. +

2.) eren and armin have built dreams together and the way that they look at each other in admiration when talking about the ocean brings absolute warmth to my heart. it was shown that eren was staring into his eyes while he was speaking almost as if he was seeing an +

angel. this dream of seeing the outside world together got them through multiple life threatening situations. when they had felt it was the end and that they weren't going to make it, they always remembered the ocean. they remembered their dream, and they remembered +

each other more than anything.

3.) i cannot describe the amount of times that i noticed during any situation where things got tough eren's first thoughts were always "armin, _____" and it was the exact same for armin. they were always hoping for the other to be safe +

when they had known things were going wrong somewhere. it was especially scary when their area was being attacked by the titans and the other wasn't anywhere near to help at the moment. before every battle eren and armin would shoot each other simple reassuring +

glances and head nods, as like a silent promise to stay alive and keep moving. there was multiple instances like this, too many to count.

4.) i'd really like to talk about how they'd throw their lives on the line for one another without a second thought. in the +

battle of trost when eren had shot off the roof after seeing what happened to thomas, armin jumped right for him, following after quickly. he was the first one to go after him. and when he had seen that eren was hurt badly, he basically shut down. when he was half way down the +

the titan's throat, eren had gotten up despite his condition and grabbed on to armin's arm, flinging him out and into a safer spot on the roof, ultimately being swallowed himself. in that exact moment he had remembered the ocean, and i really cannot describe the pain +

i felt when armin ripped that blood curdling cry seeing his best friend swallowed before his very eyes. armin had blamed himself the entire time and even had thoughts of ending his own life because of the guilt he carried of eren being eaten instead of him. though +

of course, eren survived :) another instance that i think about a lot is when armin was torched trying to buy eren time when fighting the colossal titan. when eren found him in the condition he was he was almost losing his mind, ready to fight or even kill levi +

to use the serum to save armin instead of erwin. disclaimer! that was a good choice, because its what erwin wouldve wanted, and armin has more strategic value and has lead the scount regiment through countless situations.

when armin had awoke, eren ran over +

to him and you could tell he had been crying and waiting. immediately he went and gave him a hug, trembling. idk about you but that always broke my heart :(

another pointer is the fact that no matter what, eren would always put his belief into armin. he knew that +

no matter what was to come, he could depend on armin to make the correct decisions and lead the team the right way. he never doubted him as armin doubted himself, he entrusted his life into him without a second thought.

5.) PLEASE THE HAND HOLDING SCENES!! +

there wasn't a lot of instances where you caught them holding hands, but definitely a few that always made me go :D!! such as the scene where mikasa was holding eren on the wall and armin had walked over and gripped his hand, locking their hands and being overwhelmed +

with relief that he was still alive. i fully believe that armin was close to losing himself if anything had truly happened to eren. that was clearly shown in the multiple instances armin witnessed him almost die. there was also the times where armin had pulled eren +

back up when he was on the ground. idk there isn't much to go off of but it makes me very happy

6.) the pure fact that armin was always there to support eren when he needed it. when eren had to put the boulder into the wall to block it, armin was the one to get +

eren back on his feet by speaking to him softly and reminding him of what he needs to do. he also screamed at the top of his lungs "GO EREN" when eren had reached the hole in the wall that needed to close. it always made me feel powerful idk about you guys +

he had also supported eren's decision to join the scout regiment when he had first heard about it, and even joined for the sake of eren, himself, and humanity. he wanted to make a difference and become stronger just as eren had. he was kinda like his hero if you think. +

eren had also stated that out of all the people he knew, he thought armin was the most brave and strongest solider within the corp. he stated that even if his physical strength is low, his brain is absolutely empowering and without him they wouldn't have made it +

through their battles. his strategies is what saved them at the end of the day, and eren held a lot of respect towards him for being brave and more of a leader than he's ever seen.

7.) their relationship most definitely holds a deeper connection in my eyes +

than just a friendship. they've shown to have a deep care for each other and when times were tough they were each other's strength. they defended and cared for each other before anything else. they were each other's comfort and reassurance. a reason to live.
