#CHANYEOL -- the Art Enthusiast and Philantropist [a thread]

#찬열 has mentioned in his D'icon interview that he is into painting these days. It is undeniable that MQ influenced him a lot to take interest in Art, as he previously mentioned in one of their NNG videos.

The Snoopy Exhibition was one of #CHANYEOL and MQ's first art collaborations. The proceeds of this exhibition were donated to "World Vision", an organization dedicated to protecting children's right to life and eliminating poverty. #찬열

In NNG's video where #CHANYEOL made Loey Bar, we got to see some of the paintings in their studio. These are both from David Hockney: "A Bigger Splash" and "My Parents". #찬열

#CHANYEOL visited the Osgemeos "You are my guest" exhibit last July in Seoul. Baekhyun and DJ Raiden also went to visit.

#CHANYEOL has followed the IG accounts of artists: osgemeos and misteryanen, which are both followed by MQ as well. #찬열

#CHANYEOL mentioned in his GQ Korea interview that he bookmarked on Instagram a painting he is about to buy. #찬열

#CHANYEOL & MQ also had a collaboration with Stereo Vinyls (owned by Jae Huh, a clothing brand w/ art scenes & street-inspired elements), where they made sound effects for the images of their products. Part of the sales also went to an organization for the hearing impaired. #찬열

A more recent collaboration is with Lotte Museum for the Jean-Michel Basquiat Exhibition. #CHANYEOL and MQ made the theme song for this Art Exhibit. #찬열

The proceeds from #CHANYEOL and MQ's collab with Stereo Vinyls were used to purchase tickets to the Basquiat exhibit, which were then given away to "Snail of Love", an organization for the hearing impaired. #찬열

"A painter paints pictures on canvas. Musicians paint their pictures on silence."

It's good to know that #CHANYEOL is an artist in more ways than one.
