Hey Producers and Organisers! Something that you may not have realised in this new online world, is that people outside your country almost certainly don't know your timezones or their short codes. If you're organising things with international people, here are better options:

1) Give local times for all participants. This is okay, but takes a lot of effort for you, requires you know *their* timezones, invites errors, and is extremely unwieldy past 3-4 locations. Basically - great at small scale, terrible at larger scale.

2) Give your UTC offset. This is *far* easier for almost anyone to translate than checking your short code, disambiguating if it's not unique (and they certainly all aren't!), and *then* finding the offset. We have to do this anyway, giving it at the start saves a lot of effort!

(In fact, giving your Time zone code AND the UTC Offset is a really great option! It lets locals and internationals use less brain to translate!)

3) Give your times in UTC. This is an even easier option for most people. Most of us are very aware of our UTC offset, so giving us the UTC times makes it *super* easy to just apply our offset, rather than mathing out the correct conversion between our and your offset.

(It also means that noone has to do more or less translation to get your event right - it's exactly as much effort for everyone! And if you're dealing mostly with Locals, Local time and UTC time is a great compromise!).

4) Use Doodle/GCal. Assuming you have your settings right, these services will generally do the translation for you, so errors are extremely unlikely! However, these are for specific tasks - you generally can't run every time/date through these!

5) Use an Event Announcer. Unsurprisingly, websites exist that take your time/location, and provide a page where anyone will see that time in their timezone (and local times for everyone!). (Another benefit of these services is that they also neatly avoid date mistranslations - MM/DD/YYYY vs DD/MM/YYYY can cause issues, as can International date line shenanigans. These services will deal with that for you!)

They're all super-easy options that significantly improve the accessibility of your productions and events, so keep them in mind!
