Abt 3:45pm yesterday a police team saw a red plate #TAXI stopped on St James Rd in Montego Bay.
A closer look by one of the cops revealed that he was in the process of letting off a 36yo woman & her 3yo son.
The driver was ordered out of the taxi.

The driver reportedly disobeyed & began reversing along the 1-way street.
The woman & her young child were seen "hanging from the vehicle" until she fell & it "drove on her".
[The 3yo] was dragged by the vehicle for over 50m...until he fell from the vehicle as well.

The vehicle reportedly "drove on" the 3yo as well.
The cop claimed the driver of the #TAXI pulled a gun & pointed it in his direction.
He said he took evasive action & fired 1 round from his M-16 rifle at the reversing #TAXI, which still managed to elude them.

The injured woman & her injured child were assisted to hospital by the police.
Nearly 2 hrs later a vehicle matching the description of the #TAXI was located in #Norwood.
It had blood marks inside & a bullet hole on the driver side of the windshield.
