Not to ruin all the "Zoom dick" jokes, but it's worth pointing out that sending unwanted dick pics is an extremely common form of sexual harassment, and claiming it was an "accident" is a favorite excuse.

There's nothing wrong with making jokes about this and in fact that can be a healthy coping mechanism, but we should not lose sight of the fact that this is a form of sexual harassment, and can be painful for survivors who have been repeatedly subjected to it.

"Jeffrey Toobin is a luddite who doesn't understand how the mute function on Zoom works" is one explanation. "Jeffrey Toobin is a creep and a predator who was intentionally sexually harassing his colleagues" is another.

That shouldn't be brushed off.

I'm speaking as someone who has both been harassed in this way, including on this platform. I get dick pics in my DMs. I also get rape and death threats sometimes. They are different degrees of severity on the same spectrum of abuse pathology.
