I’ve seen a lot of salary talk on the tl so I wanted to do some break downs to encourage y’all to NOT SETTLE for these weak ass offers
$30k - $14/hr
$40k - $19/hr
$50k - $24/hr
$60k - $29/hr
$70k - $34/hr

And this is before state, federal & local taxes! Know your worth please 💕
Even if the minimum wage in your state is around $7, don’t be wowed by a $30k salary just because it’s double what you may be making now

Always find the average salary for your position, figure out if you can negotiate and be able to state your skills and qualifications
A lot of higher level corporate or sales jobs also offer extra benefits for you to consider, those being

- corporate car
- laptop
- phone w/ hotspot
- incentive opportunities where if you hit x goals, you will receive a quarterly or yearly payout in addition to your salary
Also please be mindful of taxes! Those big round numbers may look great, but you’ll probably be losing AT LEAST 22% to taxes, sometimes even closer to 30%
Not sure how there is misunderstanding here, but I am not saying that any of these salaries are settling. I am breaking down the salaries into hourly wages so that ppl can understand what they’ll be making, and make sure companies are not offering them less than what they deserve
Some ppl are asking about the math on the break downs. Here it is so y’all should be able to approximate the hourly pay for any salary for a standard work week (40 hrs)

Salary % 52 weeks % 40 hours

For example at $80k you would make (80k % 52 % 40) $38.46/hr
