Hiccup has been showing signs of improvement. She used the litter box overnight, something I haven’t seen her do since Friday. She’s been eating more enthusiastically and she’s regained a lot of her strength and feistyness, which meant the claws came out during medicine time.

I’m continuing to give her the flea medicine and iron supplement and keeping her confined to a clean and separate space. While I’m feeling hopeful, I remember how scary the discharge paperwork was, so I’m not letting my guard down until I get her checked out again by a vet.

Next steps are to take her there within the next two days (pending my first GFM withdrawal) to get checked to see how long she needs to be on the iron supplement and if she still needs a transfusion. I also need to purchase a long term flea medicine for both her and Yuni.

As for the flea infestation in the apartment, it’s a work in progress. My apartment won’t pay for pest control, so I either have to take care of them myself or call a third party. I’m vacuuming, setting flea traps and using the flea spray and it’s a constant struggle.

Since the cats are on the medicine, it seems the fleas are all attracted to me instead. Being anemic myself, I worry this may be harming my health.

Speaking of which, I’m seeing my doctor on Thursday to hopefully get my medical leave extended and discuss all my health concerns.

I woke up with one of the worst migraines I’ve had all year this morning. And I’m still waiting to get an appointment for my colonoscopy. Now would be the absolute worst time for me to go back to work, especially with COVID on the rise.

Financially... I woke up to some more overdraft fees for the emergency vet visit, bills and groceries. With rent coming up soon, I’m really not sure how I’m going to get out of this one. I’m getting by strictly on donations and what little balance I had on my credit cards.

I feel like I need to stream more on Twitch and create more content for OF and Ko-Fi to earn more income, but I’ve had no time or energy to do so. If by some miracle another stimulus check was sent, that would help get me back on track, but this government hates poor people.
