Why Alaba starts? Why Davies is benched? Why Lucas starts at LB? Questions which are followed by these answers:

(Thread)
"Alaba starts because Flick loves him"
Davies is benched because Flick favours Alaba"
Lucas starts at LB because Flick doesn't want to drop Alaba"
Alaba has been frustrating, poor defensively and could've cost us a lot of times, the contract situation has been frustrating to all of us. Doesn't mean that he hasn't be crucial in winning games as long as the offensive is concerned.

⬇️
3 of the goals vs Hertha were initiated by Alaba, the goal by Martinez vs Sevilla was initiated by Alaba. He could've cost us defensively, but he repaid that by what he does best; carrying the ball forward and organizing the game from the back.
Davies is 19, played almost every game for 90 mins last season, and in the past couple of games now, Davies hasn't been up to his good form and Lucas has taken his place. Flick said, Davies needs rest. The thing is, we all want rotation in this congested season to avoid injuries
but when Alaba starts, it isn't rotation anymore, it's "Favouritism from Flick." According to some...
In the Super cup match vs BVB, Alaba was with the squad yet he didn't start above Lucas, where he played CB. If Flick says,"Davies needs rest", they dont believe him, they say:
"No he wants to bench Davies by starting Lucas at his wrong position LB only and only to make Alaba start."
Although Lucas has been a Monster at LB this season, people still think it isn't his best position and once again, they say:Lucas starts in the wrong position because Flic
favours Alaba at CB." Becuase Lucas literally started at LB for France recently and pocketed CR7 the whole game. How the LB be Lucas' wrong position if he has played that position brilliantly for years?
And the reason why he starts at LB here is NOT because "Alaba has Flick nudes" but because Lucas covers his flank much better than Alaba does at LB, he tracks back, tackles, is aggressive, wins duels and is pacy than Alaba.
Alaba can't do what Lucas does at LB, Lucas does the same as Davies. Alaba and Lucas can not switch positions simply because we aren't playing a Heynckes football with mid-block, but a heavy High Line where fullbacks push much higher than CBs.
And Alaba, even at CB, when he tracks back, doesn't tackle or go into duels. And it would be a worse decision to put him at LB in this High Line because it has been evident and clear that most of opponent's dangerous attacks come from our flanks
(e.g Barcas first goal came because of Kimmichs wrong positioning and the exploited the space) like i said Fullbacks are high, therefore Lucas starts at LB to recover the ball with his pace and aggressiveness in his high line.
And you can't simply question a Treble winning coaches decisions because, so far, the so called questionable decisions by Flick, have all given him right...
-Thiago was benched for 3 games in a row last season when Flick took over, Coutinho was benched. Impatient Bayern fans
called him the new Kovac because of his weird XIs, and racist because of his german preference with Goretzka and Muller. At the end Flick was right with his decision.
-Kimmich became our new CDM, flick was criticized because bayern fans wanted him at RB. And he was right again.
-Perisic was heavily trusted by Flick, Bayern fans hated Perisic and didn't like Flicks decision. The latter was once again right.
-Coman started in the UCL final thanks to Flicks decision, Bayern fans didn't like it. The rest is history.
But Last question: What if Flick is starting Lucas more because he knows Alaba will leave and wants to integrate Hernandez more and better by giving Davies time to rest, regenerate and improve?
