Dear people living in the continental United States outside of (most of) Arizona: you are in DAYLIGHT time right now, until October 31. You will be in STANDARD time starting November 1. Sending out "time in PST!" for an event in October is confusing. Just say "time in Pacific".
You can also write, "time in PT". I've started writing times in emails as "8 am Pacific (Los Angeles); 11 am Eastern (New York)" to be completely unambiguous. It's not rocket surgery. Just please stop using "PST" when you mean "PDT." Drop the middle letter if you're unsure.
Most calendaring software doesn't handle times explicitly in MST very well (it'll auto-convert to MDT, which is fine for November-March, but those of us in Arizona need to be extra vigilant during March-November about event timing specifying MST when people mean MDT).
