A wee COVID story:
One of the pastors at my mom's church retired in October last year, and he and his wife moved a few states away.
They came back this weekend … for some reason.
Before they left on their trip, the pastor went to see his doctor. He wasn't feeling well.

The doctor said it was probably just the effects of his flu shot.
He and his wife traveled this past weekend to visit the church.
He was feeling worse.
He went to the hospital.
I don't have to tell you that he tested positive (as this thread is titled "A wee COVID story").

He has *all the risk factors: age, obesity, a host of health issues.
Mom didn't mention if his wife is infected but how can she not be, having spent hours in a car with him?
Meanwhile, how many people did they possibly infect at the church?
And how many follow-on people?

For the love of God—no pun intended—now more than ever, if you're not feeling well, stay the fuck at home.
Don't get in your car and drive across multiple states and risk spreading whatever you may have to a population of people who may have otherwise been taking precautions.

Mom usually goes to the church during the week to help out with some tasks while being able to avoid most people.
I asked her to please not go there today.
