Back with an update about @sidewalkfilm. Our team is really proud of what we accomplished at our drive-in festival. Though we did not hit our internal ticket sales goal, we generated some revenue and we made a great event for the community under truly insane circumstances. 1/8
That said, on top of being closed for 6 months, we're in a position where we really need community investment in order to keep bringing you an amazing festival and top-notch indie film screenings all year long. 2/8
We have a fundraiser called 10K Party coming up where you could win $10,000. Who doesn't want $10,000?! We will have a limited capacity in person event along with a live stream, so you can participate from anywhere. 3/8
Tickets are $150 for a 1 in 155 chance at the grand prize. I usually buy a ticket and split with some folks (2- or 3- ways, making it $75 or $50/per person, respectively). So if the full price ticket is too steep, message me and we can figure something out. 4/8
There's also bingo, a silent auction, and a Sidewalk Superfan drawing for a Super VIP festival experience. The event is November 10th from 8-10 PM. You can buy tickets here: 5/8 https://sidewalkfest.secure.force.com/ticket/#/instances/a0F1R00000cqfbjUAA
And if that is too steep, you can always make a donation in any amount, RT us, buy merch (we have $25 hoodies rn!), and like a ton of other things. 6/8
We also really appreciate the nice messages we've gotten from filmmakers and supporters over the last several months - they really do make our day and make all this a little bit easier. 7/8
We'll have another new fundraiser coming up in December that I am very excited about but can't talk about just yet, but the success of $10K party and this new initiative we're doing are both *crucial.* We're not invincible. Learn more about us here: http://sidewalkcinema.org  8/8
