Is it just me, or is this rather incoherent complaint actually a spectacular self-own by Weis & Hickman?

Because it reads like "WOTC's worried about its appearance re: racism and sexism so after many rounds of unsuccessful sensitivity reads they terminated our sexist books." https://twitter.com/cecianasta/status/1318197570766766082
Like, I don't think there are any heroes in this case, but "here are all kinds of examples of sexist/racist/homophobic things WOTC did that got them raked over the coals publicly and so in an attempt to improve their image, they terminated our contract" is, um.
Like, if I were WOTC and trying to make up for past racism/sexism in my content, the first fucking thing I would do would be to stop working with the white people who gave us fucking Goldmoon.
It's really weird to see so many supposed progressive/leftist voices in TTRPGs citing this case as Exhibit #1398516 of WOTC's terribleness--like did you actually *read the complaint*?

Weis & Hickman's writing is racist and sexist as fuck, did you READ Dragonlance?
This complaint is really a word salad, and it's full of really emotional italicizing. Sort of wondering if one of the plaintiffs wrote it and just had a lawyer vet it, rather than having a lawyer write it.
BTW, if you're an industry person who wants to talk anonymously, I have Signal info for a journalist I trust. DM me, or make a throwaway account and reply and I'll DM it to you.
Also: IANAL but without seeing the contract, it’s hard to say why WOTC would just refuse to approve the manuscripts rather than terminate and pay a kill fee, but I wonder about some sort of rights reversion in that case.
Honestly Dragonlance is thoroughly awful and if there are any new novels they should be written by Native authors or not at all
