wait i have a thing or two to say on this because i've kinda always kept myself from saying anything because the majority of the fandom is more than okay ( which is fine!! ) with nsfw tweets and there's a smaller part that, yknow, general doesn't do much in that regards + https://twitter.com/sunnysizhui/status/1318229969269452800

here's a bunch of disconnected stuff on my mind that i wanna get it off :
1) more than 50% of this fandom is formed by minors -> predators exist in every fandom. cayde is a VERY good example.
2) nsfw is a trigger for some people. trauma does that.

3) not everyone is interested in nsfw tweets. ik some of my moots avoid nsfw like it's the plague just for the very simple reason that they Don't Enjoy That Content, and that Is Fine.
4) nsfw/gore/beastiality-esque tweets are so normalized in this corner of twitter. everyone's +

kinda desensitized towards it. including myself, but i don't exactly have any triggers so i won't be discussing myself.
5) because of it being a regular occurrence, tws and cws and tone indicators(/j /s /srs etc) are abandoned in the context of tweets.

6) a part of the fandom however small is very uncomfortable with nsfw/gore/animal tweets and i see it on my tl everyday. a mutual of mine got bashed for expressing discomfort on it. another got a panic attack from a nsfw tweet because it wasn't triggered.

7) we're a community. looking out for each other is a Must. if someone is uncomfortable with a certain character, we'll put a cw before tweeting about them. i see cw/tw for dazai and mori all the time, using one for nsfw/the likes isn't difficult.

8) using tws, cws, and indicators won't make your joke any less fun to interact with. if anything it makes your Account as a whole very much more comfortable to be around and interact with. it creates a safe space where your joke is still hilarious, and frankly harmless.

9) the general "i tweet nsfw without tw/cws, sb/unfollow idc" excuse is getting old-not to mention twitter algorithm has a funny way of putting your tweets on other people's timelines. they're not following you but they're still seeing it and you're responsible for them.

that's about it,,, i'm generally very comfortable with everything with or without a trigger warning, i'm sure my mutuals already know that, i interact with nsfw and sfw tweets regardless, but i still see people being uncomfortable or hurt by these tweets everyday and it's tiring.

our arguably small corner in twitter would be so much more comfortable if only we respected each other a bit more, didn't invalidate each other, made the environment a bit safer for each other so that everyone would be happy. these 'smaller' issues only cause more discomfort +

along the many much bigger and more important issues that we already have. we have pedos and racists and all these horrible people lurking around our safe space and the best course of action is to make this place stronger and safer by respecting each other and looking out for +

each other.
there's also the lack of interactions with "struggle" tweets in general (nsfw mostly) but that's not really an issue i wanna get into, i just think we'd have a better community and better bonds if we twed/cwed nsfw media before putting it out there, right? much like +

how we have tws for mental disorders, characters, etc. i'm generally very unbothered, i have very few tws on my tab but i really want us all to be more comfortable here,, if i somehow offended u with this thread i'm sorry dm me </3 :( my mutuals are fine btw so yall are good
