You can tell a person doesn’t know what they’re talking about if they claim “white supremacy helps white people.” Be on the lookout for that. It means they’ve accepted a premise that’s rooted in white supremacy. Baldwin, among others, pointed out that it hurts all involved.
But to recognize this, you’d have to recognize that “man does not live by bread alone.” The fetishization of power/capital as the sum total of life is a feature, not a bug in many of these programs.
Like, white supremacists are fundamentally damaged human beings overcompensating for some gaping whole of insecurity within themselves. No one in their right mind wants to be like that.
