Tomorrow is #MCAS Awareness Day. As a patient with #MCAS it& #39;s really important to me that those around me know how to use epi pens. I can go into idiopathic anaphylaxis, and I might be unconscious and unable to use my epi myself. 1/5
To keep safe, I wear a medical alert bracelet. If you& #39;re ever find someone unconscious, look for a bracelet or necklace. This lists my major conditions, notes down that I have anaphylaxis, and holds info about my ICE contact. 2/5
I also have a tag on all of my bags that says "EPI PEN INSIDE" and I carry a red medical alert bag in my work bag or purse with my epi pens. If I can& #39;t epi myself, I& #39;m relying on those around me to help out. 3/5
If I have a rash, am raspy, aren& #39;t breathing right, you should go ahead and use an epi. Stay on the phone with 911 if you& #39;re nervous, but it& #39;s probably the right choice to make. Even if it& #39;s not, I won& #39;t die from adrenaline. 4/5
Using an epi is really easy, but if you haven& #39;t received any training brush up with the video below. Please take two minutes our of your day to watch - you could literally save my life knowing this info. 5/5 #Disability #EpiPen
