To all people reading this, if you have a friend who's starting their own business, doing performing arts, visual arts, and etc., please support their craft. You don't know how much it would mean to them a lot.
If she's selling something like home-made food and wants to start a small business out of it, don't ask for discount or free just because you are his/her friend. Support them by actually buying it.
If your friend is also doing performance art, support them by attending their gigs, concerts, and stuff without asking for a discount. Or if you want them to perform at your event or stuff kindly support them by actually paying them right.
The thing is, it's their craft and starting something out of it is actually hard already. And as a friend, you should be the first one to believe in them by actually supporting them not the first one to ask for discount or something.
And supporting does not necessarily mean it had to be monetary. If you do not have the budget to pay for them, you can always recommend them to people you know or something. Extending their connection is also a form of support which will definitely be appreciated.
All I'm saying is, do not take advantage of their small business and craft just because you are his/her friend. How are they going to make their craft grow in their respective industries if you, as a friend, already asking for perks and stuff?
Help them grow by supporting or promoting their crafts before you ask for perks. Because I'm sure that they will give you your "well-deserved perk" once they've expand themselves in their industries without you even asking for it.

So yeah, support your friend's craft.
