Remarks single out Russia as the most destructive global cyber actor; paints picture of an unrelenting Russian attack on enemies and systems.

The charges announced were not specific to election interference but the remarks pointedly called out Russian attacks on the 2017 French election.

Hard to imagine Trump will take this prosecution well. Will feel undermining to him.

Reminds people 2016 was tainted.

Even though FBI Director Chris Wray wasn’t at the press conference, look for Trump to rant about him any minute now.

“Why isn’t the FBI attesting the people I want them to (instead of the people who help me)?!”

I dunno. Kinda interesting timing from the DOJ/FBI.

Can’t see how this announcement does anything but possibly dings Trump a little. Doesn’t help him. Might hurt a little.

If Bill Barr was still death-gripped on the wheel going full corruption at 90 mph, hard to believe he wouldn’t push this off a couple weeks.

Feels like there is a loosening underway.

The choking grip on the legitimate work of career public servants seems to be easing a bit.

Maybe the Bill Barr’s know the ship can’t be saved and aren’t willing to die trying.

I will assume Barr, et al, are operating at Evil Force Level: 10 until they’re out of office.

Still, can’t help but notice Barr is MIA as some trains seem to be suddenly moving...

Anywho, be on the lockout for a Trump rant about Wray and/or Barr.

If he pulls a double and rants about them both, I hit the exacta and somebody owes me a beer.
