ouyang zizhen and his adventures of falling a little bit in love with everyone he meets.
sizhui? beautiful, kind, comforting ;; even being in his presence makes zizhen& #39;s heartbeat speed up. jingyi? loud and endlessly endearing with his jokes and endless energy. zizhen cannot keep his eyes off of him.
jin ling is prickly but has a good heart that zizhen just immediately becomes aware of. no matter how much jin ling gets grumpy or how much zizhen teases him, it is never cruel. zizhen values him so much.
a-qing would have been a menace and playing pranks on him and teasing him but zizhen would take it all in stride, knowing that this is how she expresses affection, knowing that she considers them to be close. and if he sneaks glances at her because she is so pretty? so be it.
there are disciples from the lan and jin and ouyang sects that zizhen sees and then cannot stop thinking about for weeks. there are nie and jiang disciples whose faces and smiles and kind actions he remembers and dwells on during free time.
the puppy love and admiration he has for cultivators... he is so impressed with wei wuxian and absolutely adores him;; senior wei best teacher award. hanguang-jun is so gorgeous and intelligent and powerful — zizhen& #39;s childhood crush faded but the starry eyed looks remain.
jiang cheng may be off-putting and scary to others but zizhen secretly thinks he is so COOL (no one tell jin ling). he is straightforward, powerful, rebuilt his sect by his own damn self ;; who wouldn& #39;t be impressed by this sheer amount of determination and will.
zizhen may or may not have considered carrying a fan around himself after seeing nie huaisang handling it so flawlessly. sect leader nie is so knowledgeable about arts and poetry ;; they spoke once during a discussion conference and zizhen was over the MOON.
he adores the story of xiao xingchen and song lan, as heartbreaking as it is, and would have adored them even more had they both lived to meet him. seeing them in real time, uncaring of blood ties, creating their own sect together? zizhen& #39;s romantic little heart is quaking.
who wouldn& #39;t fall in love with lan xichen& #39;s smile? little zizhen would try to take a peek at the beautiful sect leader any time the ouyang sect is in the vicinity of the lan sect. one time he was lucky enough to get a head pat. he is a bit embarrassed but happy about the memory.
the first junior (besides sizhui) to really befriend wen ning? ouyang zizhen the madlad. he started out terrified and ended with babbling about poetry to him when they are traveling for night hunts. does not pry but is ecstatic when wen ning talks about his sister.
zizhen would have absolutely adored jiang yanli ;; he would have admired wen qing so fucking much even if he never had the courage to talk to her ;; his respect for handsome and righteous sect leader nie mingjue ;; he would get shy around jin zixuan.
also i want so badly for zizhen & junior crew to meet mianmian because a) rogue cultivator stories are always the most badass and b) they get to hear about yiling laozu and hanguang-jun (and the rest of the generation) being fools as teenagers. what a win.
