When people here satanism the first thing comes to there mind are devil worshipers who dressed in black and sacrifice living animals and does a lot violent shit

That was because of the satanic ritual abuse aka Satanic panic, it was originated in the US in the 80’s, allegations of SRA involved reports of physical and sexual abuse of people in the context of occult or Satanic rituals, which was basically Religious abuse

In 1960s an official Satanic church was formed by Anton LaVey, He published the satanic bible in 1969 and it’s a mix of black magic, occult concepts, secular philosophy, etc

A result of church division is the satanic temple، it was founded at 2013 by Lucian Greaves and Malcolm Jarry, it’s a non-theistic religion group that use satanic imagery to promote egalitarianism, social justice, and the separation of church and state
