Following the announcement of a fortnight-long national 'fire-break' we want to reassure students, staff and the community

[a thread]

Our University remains open and able to continue our Covid-safe flexible, face-to-face and online teaching as planned.

Our campuses have been redesigned with one-way systems, smaller class sizes and enhanced cleaning routines to help keep students, staff and visitors safe.
Maintaining the 2m social distancing guidelines, we've been able to adapt our spaces safely.

In line with Welsh Government advice, all students are required to stay in their university/term-time accommodation even if they have been asked to self-isolate or have Covid-19 symptoms.

Students in university-owned accommodation can access support through their halls team, where food supplies and medicines will be arranged based on need, and help to arrange supermarket deliveries is available.

Our online health and wellbeing support tools and advice services remain open and are available to all students through the student homepage 'MetCentral'.
