Jakeem Grant quietly led the Dolphins in catches (four), receiving yards (48) and all-purpose yards (154) yesterday.
Ryan Fitzpatrick's two interceptions dropped him from fifth to seventh in QBR. Still ...
Emmanuel Ogbah is tied for second in the AFC with five sacks. He also is tied with Elandon Roberts for the team lead with four TFLs.
You probably know that Xavien Howard leads the NFL with four interceptions. You might not know he also is tied for ninth in the NFL in pass breakups.
Jason Sanders leads the NFL in FG percentage (100%) among kickers with at least 10 attempts, is tied for third in FGs made (15) and is tied for third in points scored (58).
TEAM STATS: 1st in 3rd D def. (31.3%), KO coverage (14.2); 3rd in 4th D def. (30%); 4th in point diff. (7.8); 8th in TOP (31:28), def. sacks/pass att. (8.1%); 9th in goal to go (85.7%), 4th D conv. (75%); 12th in yards/pass (7.5), first downs/game (22.7) and punt returns (9.3).
Also, that Texans first-rounder is looking tasty. Houston at 1-5 is in a six-way tie for the second-worst record in the league and has the NFL's sixth-hardest remaining SOS (.580). http://www.tankathon.com/nfl
For my good friend @schadjoe, the Dolphins rank third in the NFL in scoring defense (18.8/game).
The Dolphins are one of just four teams who have yet to lose a fumble. On the flip side, only three teams have thrown more interceptions (7).
Finally, why am I so bullish on the Dolphins' chances going forward? They've actually underachieved so far. More on this later today.
