Genesis 1:1-2 - "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and Darkness was upon the face of the deep; And the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters."

A millions ways to dissect this. Changes nothing.
In the beginning to many means strictly that, in the beginning, and I agree, but the beginning of what?

Also, when He created the heavens, and then the earth after, was this immediate? Was there a gap? Furthermore, was the earth created void, or did it become that way?
We know in the following chapters in Genesis we get a beautiful description of earths creation. Many call it poetry of an ignorant people. I call it history that can be difficult to interpret.
A big factor that changes things is, as I learned in my revelation study I did a few months back, is everything in order? Or do the descriptions go in a pattern as 'This happened, here is an explanation of how it happened, pause, let's backtrack to this point' or wholly linear?
As we get into Genesis, we see the creation account take place, God creates man and woman, then later down the line, it speaks.

In chapter 2 it goes into detail about the man, and the creation of woman. Is this two separate creation accounts? I think not.
If we read the text, it appears Chapter 1 provides a basic description of how things happened initially, while Chapter 2 is much more detailed. I believe that Chapter 1 is referring to the creation of Adam and Eve, and Chapter 2 is clarifying those details.
To me, it seems to assume that these people not noticing for thousands of years a mistake such as two separate accounts not aligning is foolhardy. They knew what the test read, and it is only modern man who seeks to twist it.

The assumption man was stupider in times past... no
So, people say ‘well the light came before the sun in the Bible, that’s ridiculous and it defies science.’

I say to you, why could God can create light without the sun. Can’t you pull out your iPhone and shine a light?

Furthermore, you weren’t there.
Genesis 2:23 - “And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a men leave his Father and Mother and cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.”
People criticize men with God for the men with many wives in the Old Testament for some are good men, but He never directly says we should carry on this way. A man’s actions are not a contradiction of God’s Word.

It is clear in Genesis, it is meant to be one man and one woman.
People criticize God*
The last question to tackle for this thread is, why did God plant the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden? Furthermore, did he know know Adam and Eve would eat from it. The answer I believe is, He planted it full well knowing they would eat from it.
