like just off the top of my head, i can say 'jennifers body' is about sexual violence, the horror of 'becoming' a woman, of toxic friendships, the way trauma changes us; i was boring i could say 'its abt being boy crazy bc jennifer needs to devour boys to survive' but thats.. eh

i can even flip that last point and say its abt how much pressure is put on young women to be in relationships! i havent seen the movie in a year so if i had time i could come up w more

bly manor- i love Ed's ghost as a metaphor for Dani's internalised homophobia! its not a plot hole that he disappears when Dani starts to accept herself! im very energetic at the moment!

u can do so much w 'monster as a metaphor for x'. whats the monster? what defeats the monster? can you defeat the monster? i love lgbt themes in horror bc the truth is being lgbt can be terrifying! sometimes u feel like u ARE the monster!
