"If we keep Trump, then the revolution will come faster!"

"If we let the house burn down, maybe the family will finally get serious about fire safety"

Same nonsense.
"I really hate this lesser of two evils thing. I don't want a lesser evil so I'm gonna tacitly support the greater evil."

I don't understand it. I will never understand it.

You're free to believe it but I'm never gonna understand.
I dunno.

I totally understand the idea of proving to Dems that they can't just take Black and Left votes for granted without offering real change. I get THAT.

But I think this also fundamentally misunderstands who the Democrats are.
They're not a distinct party anymore. They're just everyone else.

Literally.

Our two parties are white nationalists and everybody else.

The Dems are never gonna give most people what they want.

There's no unfying of principle beyond "We aren't the GOP"
That being the case, there's no amount of Democratic losses to the GOP that will compel them to cater to Black people or the Left in any meaningful way.

There's too many of everyone else to give a shit.
In the meantime, losses to the GOP don't teach any lessons. They just further entrench misogynistic white nationalism.

That's it. That's the only result. Every time.

The system is broken. And a new strategy must emerge.

It doesn't happen by enabling the nationalists though.
The Democrats (in support, if not registration) comprise everything left of the far right.

Moderate conservatives
Religious neoliberals
Centrist neoliberals
Classic liberals
Civil Libertarians
Democratic socialists
Unqualified socialists
Communists
Anarchists
Also Black people.

And the even all the political subsets of Black America unifying their voice will not weigh heavier than all those white groups and their conflicting agendas.

The two party system needs to die.

But that needs to be a whole revolution
Democratic voters, by virtue of actually being a lumbering chimera of warring political factions are never going to be happy with the Democratic Party.

Like any good fans, they'll cheer, and support but it doesn't mean they think the team is GOOD.

And it won't be.
But what we have is a political monopoly.

It comes with all the problems of every monopoly... Especially that it doesn't have to listen to you.

It's the only game in town.

And it provides a zero sum choice between accelerating White nationalism and pumping the brakes.
We have to break the monopoly.

We must.

We MUST.

It's the only way we survive long term.

But as we do, we also cannot pretend that we have more viable options than the monopoly currently provides.

It here. It's real. Its predictable and we must face that reality.
Competition doesn't break a monopoly. Which is why third parties won't break the two party system

Monopolies exist because they did all the work to eliminate competition already.

This is why antitrust laws exist. So that monopolies can be dismantled, allowing competition.
The two party system has to first be broken in order for competition to be viable.

That's the order of things.

First you break up the monopoly and their hegemonic power, then you change the environment such that it supports new growth again.
