Spain: Health min ruling out another total lockdown but predicts 'short, drastic' measures. Regional authorities have different levels, Catalonia recently controversially restricted bars and restaurants. Madrid has been fighting level of restrictions: https://english.elpais.com/politics/2020-10-19/with-state-of-alarm-set-to-end-spain-looks-for-new-ways-to-control-coronavirus-spread-in-madrid.html
Germany: Some new measures in place in last week for areas w/ 7-day rates of 50 per 100k (See second pic for 14-day Irish incidences for comparison). Merkel has since asked Germans to 'stay home whenever possible', wants to avoid Spring-style lockdown: https://www.dw.com/en/coronavirus-in-germany-angela-merkel-urges-people-to-stay-home-whenever-possible/a-55308330
Norway: has some of the lowest incidence rates in the ECDC area. Some slight additional restrictions in Oslo recently, but broadly maintaining low numbers and flat 'curve'. Has had an essential ban on visitors for months, tourism smashed. https://www.thelocal.no/20201015/oslo-continues-extension-of-local-coronavirus-restrictions
Czech Republic: Highest rates in ECDC area, despite good numbers during first wave. In last week new restrictions brought in, inc. schools moving to distance learning. Government says it's waiting to see if things stabilise before considering 'lockdown'. https://www.reuters.com/article/idUSKBN2730IE
Slovakia, some restrictions in place (secondary schools distance learning) but situation not as bad as over the border, although there is concern: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-slovakia/slovakias-covid-19-spike-hits-new-daily-record-topping-2000-idUKKBN2711UI
Oxford Uni have a 'Government Response Stringency' index, which tries to visualise the strength of measures in place in countries, but it appears parts haven't been updated for a week. As outlined in this thread, new measures have been implemented since. Gray = No data.
Selection of European countries tabled here, ranked for most recent data. Comparisons are imperfect; the UK is currently ranked as having most stringent measures according to this index, as of data inputted in early October...
European curves for cases, and deaths, according to the WHO dashboard.
Sub-national regions of Europe colour coded by 14-day incidence rates. There is - seemingly - no legend, but it appears areas of 200+ cases per 100k are darkest red. It's here... https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/3a056fc8839d47969ef59949e9984a71
Netherlands: 'Partial Lockdown' ordered in recent weeks, after 'intelligent lockdown' strategy abandoned due to increases. Generalities here, but additional stuff in some areas... https://www.government.nl/topics/coronavirus-covid-19/tackling-new-coronavirus-in-the-netherlands
