middle-eastern/arabic folk music thread

this music is so intense and emotional that you either love it or hate it, there's no in-between

here are some of my favorites

we start with Taksim Trio, they are basically the best when it comes to arabesque, that's how the Turks call this kind of music

this is another piece from taksim trio i really like

one more from taksim trio, very melodic and dramatic and like most of this kind of music, it's a cover of a song

other favourites of mine: rouh trio, a trio from israel that consists of arabs and jews

they mix flamenco, jazz, and arabic music and the result is incredible

you can literally feel the pain while listening to it

let's finish this thread with ibrahim malouf, a french-lebanese trumpet player who's very popular in france.

he mixes jazz, sometimes even rock with arabic music and the result is incredible
