why you should stop making "hxhtwt is dead" jokes:

firstly, a lot of people find comfort in hxhtwt. it's literally all we do all day every day. seeing people make jokes that your only outlet is dying is extremely anxiety-inducing. a few of my close friends have already had anxiety attacks over these jokes.

if this is the kind of effect you want to have on your close friends and community, i implore you to continue making these jokes! if not, i suggest you stop.

another note is that a lot of people that i saw making these jokes had already transitioned to different fandoms. it is absolutely NOT your place to be making comments like these about communities that you are no longer a part of.

it was also difficult to ignore the fact that these newly transitioned accounts had really large followings. just to get this out of the way, nobody runs hxhtwt or any anitwt community. even if you have the most followers out of the whole community, you don't get to decide...

...whether it lives or dies. that's a really important point i thought i'd throw in because a lot of people seem to forget.

to sum up the whole point of the thread:
"hxhtwt is dead" jokes make a lot of hxhtwt users uncomfortable.
if you're part of a different fandom now, it's not your place to be making these jokes.
even if you have a large following, you do not run the community and you do not get...

...to decide what happens to it.
