Watched #ArtemisFowl. Well, tried.

Only managed to watch for 15 minutes.

Fair warning: I'm about to freak out unproductively for quite some time
(especially because I liked the books so much as a teenager)
Also SPOILERS
Does sound a little harsh, but sooooo true I'm not even sorry really #ArtemisFowl https://twitter.com/ReelEnthusiast/status/1271525355791278081?s=19
Okay WHAT THE HELL IS GOING IN?
WHY DOES THE KID WEAR SPORTSWEAR?
He was supposed to ALWAYS wear the suit. So, obviously, no skateboard. Or nature loving vibe and everything.
#ArtemisFowl
Yeah and no heart to hearts with the Father. At least not like that.
Do you even know what their family moto is?
AURUM EST POTESTAS.
GOLD IS POWER
Are you freaking kidding me?
#ArtemisFowl
The mother is NOT DEAD WTF
More than that she's pretty much the only parent he talks to FOR TWO BOOKS BECAUSE HIS FATHER IS ABSCENT
(and we are somehow stepping onto a spoiler ground, so I'm not saying anything)
#ArtemisFowl
Why the hell do you give us Butler's name? THIS IS A CLASSIFIED AND VERY IMPORTANT PIECE OF INFORMATION. THE BODYGUARD DOES NOT GIVE HIS EMPLOYER (i.e. Artemis) HIS NAME, HE ALWAYS GOES BY "BUTLER" FOR Everyone
This is the way (and I'm not even sorry for doing that)
#ArtemisFowl
And I'm still not finished with those 15 minutes. Just FYI

Neither the father, nor the witch, lizard or whatever the creature was in the movie DID NOT just give the info (or any info, if you please) about the underworld to Artemis. Just so you know.
#ArtemisFowl
HE IS A FREAKING GENIUS FOR GOD'S SAKE. He figures it out all by himself and then drugs the creature to get everything he needs to know.
#ArtemisFowl
And Butler is always by his side.

And when I say always, I mean ALWAYS
#ArtemisFowl
And, well, in the book he is pretty much portrayed as a dick right away.
In the movie he's just a fascinated by nature slightly hostile to the school therapist (and understandingly so) kid.
Or at least in the first 15 minutes of it. Maybe I'm wrong
#ArtemisFowl
Not bad for a 15 minutes watch, hah?
Thankfully, I didn't finish the movie.
