It’s become exceedingly clear I am too predictable a creature.
I have chosen this as an area for growth. As is my personal means of achieving this end, I will seek to find characters (real and fictitious), and meme them. Looking for the 007’s of the world here.
I’ll take this weakness though. I’m grateful for my big heart. Just need to learn to hide that it’s always on my sleeve.

Clear here I need to go back to my football roots. Elite quarterbacks and playcallers (offensive and defensive) are masters of deception. Think Aaron Rodgers’ quick fake to leave the pocket: resets leverage for OL, making light work of pass rushers.
2018 Colts defense: essentially all Cover 3 and cover 2. The rub: both run from a 2 high pre snap look.
McVay tree: motion threat to jet sweep. Forces LBs to bounce, opens up the base OZ. Lesson of last 2 is deception is highly effective when it sets up your bread and butter; that which you practice to the point of obsession.
Early 2010’s Patriots: Hernandez and Gronk packages: threat to run it all from one personnel group. Base defense? Go empty and pick on LBs. Nickel? Dime? Condensed formation run. The threat of Hernandez at RB made this unbelievably difficult to defend.
The double move. Just make sure you’re not running Sluggo Seam on Gruden and the 2002 Bucs. #PickCity
Back to Rodgers: remember his vociferous opposition to a QB view camera. Why? You give away a QBs manipulation of the defense with his eyes? You give away his secret sauce.
This thread would be incomplete without reference to Arnsparger, LeBeau and the zone blitz. Shoutout to all the fat guy INTs that got us through a rough week
