Okay this is really fucking me up.

A bit ago these was a joke about how the new Medusa statue is clean-shaved because they didn't want to have to decide if her pubes are snakes.

I repeated this to my friend, who has postulated that, if so, all her body hair must be snakes-
arm hair, leg hair, all teeny tiny snakes. I countered that, if so, her nails must also be some form of solidified snake.

BUT

I've always thought of her head-snakes like braids or dreads, but that doesn't really work for body hair. Realistically, the snakes must be more akin to
very thick single hair follicles, with a normal length.

So where does that leave her body snakes? Is her head indicative of snake proportions everywhere and her legs look like an eel garden? Or is snake width proportional to follicle width while length remains constant and
she's covered in normal-to-smallish-width, extremely short snakes? If it's that one, even with relatively fine body hair, her arms and legs must be covered in snake heads, snoots and random single fangs to maintain the ratio, right? Where does that leave her nails?

Which is it??
