Thank you to everyone who has so far auditioned for my new podcast, Cherrin City Soundbytes @cherrincity ! I hope more of you will do so, and if you just only now heard of it, you have time! The auditions are open until October 31st!
You have less than two weeks to get your auditions in! I've got 17 different roles that I'd like to fill. This thread will provide more info about the characters in this anthology series! For all important details and how to audition, please see this: https://twitter.com/CherrinCity/status/1315811593385652225?s=20
Here's who I'm looking for:
The Cherrin University Radio Host! She's a south asian DJ who occasionally rants about the state of the city. She talks a lot about Cherrin, but she's wants this city become a better place... even if she herself is kinda lacking in energy, time and tangible actions.
(As of this writing, there are currently zero auditions for her!)
Solla is a black superhero on the Cherrin City's Starlight Watchers Squad! As an alien from far away, she's using her time on earth to relax and do what she wants. This attitude does not stop her from caring for the citizens of her new home, but she is still has limits, after all
(As of this writing, there are currently zero auditions for her!)
Hannah Nathan is an experienced television host who has worked long and hard to get to where she is thank you very much. She's lived in Cherrin for much of her life so she's seen a lot but she does her best to treat her guests on Musiciscity with respect and genuine interest.
(As of this writing, there are currently zero auditions for her!)
Alta Reyes is a musician from a different world, trying to deal with a stream of constant and inevitable interruptions to her life. Ultimately she just wishes things could go back to normal, but until then, she will keep searching for a solution to keep her and her band safe.
(As of this writing, there are currently zero auditions for her!)
Brandi is a trans lady radio host who is in charge of the new show, Public! This! Closure! A show where people resolve their interpersonal problems on the air. She's interested in making this show a success, and would love to help people, but the first point is more of a priority
(As of this writing, there are currently zero auditions for her!)
Josephine is a black lady working to balance her life Her dad breaks the news to her that he used to defend some alien planet, and despite his age he must return. She goes for him. Thankfully she has her cellphone with her so if she survives, she can keep up with her emails? Yay?
(As of this writing, there are currently zero auditions for her!)
Pat is an east asian person going to therapy. They're doing their best even when they're feeling their worst!
(As of this writing, there are currently zero auditions for them!)
Gina was ghosted by a cute lady on their first date together. She figures she might as well take a chance at trying to get some closure through this new radio show, Public! This! Closure! which promises to do just that.
Devon Milligan is a smart young-ish black kid who is part of Cherrin City's East End Exemplars. He doesn't really understand or believe in gray morality; to him it's very much good guys vs bad guys. He's obviously a good guy... but he has his suspicions that he's not doing enough
I-SPI is black lady with a very passive observation power that she uses for crimes. Mostly by putting herself out there as a criminal for hire. She's very aware of her own limitations, but despite that, she's determined to be self-sufficient. Is unsure of how to ask for help.
Isabelle is a woman who's trying to make something comfortable with her life without much of a basis. When she runs into a kid she used to know, she feels compelled to keep him close, though she's not sure if she can help him.
TE is a young person trying to find a place to belong to (and also live in, but that's less of a priority.) He's quiet, calculating and introspective.
Guiltmaster is just a former academic who turned to crime and uses his powers mostly for guilt-tripping superheroes so hard that they become incapacitated. That's pretty easy to do. He can also do other things, sometimes.
You ever steal superpowers and decide to be evil? That's Bernard North. That's also all you need to know about him. For now.
Henry Austin Bolte is a gay dude in early 2000s struggling with financial security and working to his full potential as a costume designer. Because of his financial struggles, he has mixed feelings on wealth accumulation...but he also has no time to consider fun personal projects
V is someone who has recently come into some extraordinarily fortunate circumstances... and has decided to use them for their own personal gain, no matter the cost to anyone else.
The interviewer is an out of town filmmaker trying to make a documentary about the super powered people in Cherrin City (how unoriginal!)
This thread was written in order of least auditions to most (so far) but don't let that discourage you! I won't be able to know if you're the best fit for a role if you don't send in your audition! Just make sure you check out all the details here: https://twitter.com/CherrinCity/status/1315811593385652225?s=20
