the idea that our value can be quantified and counted in time, energy, money. all are limited and scarce and precarious, and by defining us that way, so are we.
and that& #39;s not just a harmful idea. it& #39;s an outright lie. https://twitter.com/besf0rt/status/1316901775786561538">https://twitter.com/besf0rt/s...

of all my tweets to ever get a little traction, this one is especially dear to me. so many clients come to me struggling in a world that devalues their creativity, joy, pleasure, gratitude, vulnerability, emotion, relationships, care, generosity, spirituality, and it enrages me.
as the structures that impose limits of time/energy/money crumble around us, it& #39;s not only desirable to find new/old/other ways to feel worthy, it& #39;s absolutely *essential* for us to retain any semblance of the beauty of humanity that has outlasted centuries of colonial violence.
i& #39;m white. i grew up in the hungry belly of a colonial state. i am literate af at the expense of my connectiveness. any work i& #39;ve done to reclaim and reconstitute my relationships and practices comes from learning to listen to other ways of knowing without just consuming them.
i don& #39;t pretend to have any answers, that& #39;s just my way. my ancestors were colonizers and i am learning to love them and work with them as i must also love and work with myself alongside the violence enacted through my own whiteness and as a settler. it& #39;s not uncomplicated.
these systems of violence and profit are internalized by so many of us, having been fed their ideas and practices, and only those, to survive since we were brought back to this earth. divesting is terrifying when they have kept us alive, but now they& #39;re being taken away anyway.
saturn/pluto was the melting point.
jupiter/saturn is the evaporation.
breath is sacred and being threatened and denied for so many. these are not simple times. there are no simple answers.

i envision astrology as a project of revaluing spirit and cycle and connection and continued resistance to their attempted erasure. i say *attempted* because some knowledges, particularly Indigenous and Black knowledges, have survived.
how to learn while not consuming, value while not quantifying, give without becoming entitled. it& #39;s Moon day and she knows how to do all these things and more. as her centuries of whispers become screams, keep listening.
