here's the thing: deku reacts to bakugou in a way thats very opposite of what one would expect from him. you would EXPECT him to not like him, to resent him, to feel similarly abt him to how shouto feels abt endeavor. but he doesnt, not at all, and thats hard for ppl to grasp.

im never going to stop saying this: if u wanna compare izuku's feelings with anyone else's, the most similar would be uraraka's feelings for izuku. THOSE parallels actually make sense and take into account how deku actually feels abt katsuki, not just how ppl think he does based-

on their own projections. izuku doesnt resent him, he admires him. he doesnt feel any leftover anger toward him, but rather sees him as his image of victory and thats why he strives to one day surpass him. he acknowledges that yeah, there are parts of katsuki he doesnt like, but-

he also acknowledges that HE acts like the very parts of him he hates, when he becomes more concerned with winning than saving, bc when he thinks of what it means to win, he thinks of katsuki. the good AND the bad. because he sees and accepts /all/ parts of him.

if anyone ever had the right to see katsuki as a villain or think he's unheroic, its izuku. that's true. but the fact remains that izuku NEVER saw him that way. so to call him traumatized? what exactly is there to show for that?? NOTHING. he doesnt HAVE hidden trauma, because-

he's never actually hid his feelings/reactions to katsuki to begin with. again, expectations ≠ canon & this is such a common misconception in this fandom and im honestly tired of it. stop just taking ppl who use buzzwords like "trauma!" or even "sibling-coded!" at face value &-

instead try reading whats ACTUALLY canon and draw conclusions for yourself. im so SO tired of the same bad takes going around that completely ignore so many fundamental parts of their characters, relationship, and even the overall story just so u can say a ship u dislike is toxic

u don't have to ship it. u dont even have to like their relationship (although if thats the case idk how ur even into bnha when thats the backbone of the whole series). but stop misinterpreting canon to fit ur anti-bkdk agenda LMAO its insulting to hori, who has worked way too-
