Here is a serving officer outlining the failures she experienced while dealing with an abusive partner who was also serving, over a five-year period.

The women who told their stories were either making it or up or don't actually exist...
There is very little research in this area, but it all points to DV rates at least equal to and likely higher than the general population. Taking this as the baseline is appropriate, but the narrative is that allegations are likely to be fabricated for vindictive purposes.
These @Hayley_Gleeson articles have been meticulous, but the message coming through here is one of great resistance to even acknowledging an issue let alone addressing it. No amount of lip service from command level can cut through that kind of culture.
